Bihar APO Exam Pattern 2024

The BPSC will conduct the Bihar APO Exam in three stages. These stages are mentioned below –

• Prelims Exam (Objective Type)
• Mains Exam (Subjective Type) and
• Personal Interview

The BPSC APO Exam will be held in Bilingual format i.e. Hindi and English language. The prelims exam will only be qualifying in nature. Bihar APO Prelims Exam Pattern 2024

• This exam will be objective in nature.
• This exam will consist two papers i.e. Paper 1 & 2.
• The exam will be held through offline mode.
• Duration of the exam will be of 2 hours for each paper.

• A negative marking of ¼ will also be there.
  

Bihar APO Mains Exam Pattern 2024

• This exam will be subjective type.
• A total number of seven papers will be conducted.
• Time duration of 3 hours for each paper will be there.

2. Hindi Language –

The level of this part is the same that of Hindi Compulsory paper that a student’s studies from fourth standard of Bihar Schools Examination Committee’s Secondary Examination. This paper is intended to evaluate the general understating of a candidate in Hindi language. The syllabus of the Hindi Language will be as mentioned below –

3. English Language –

The paper is designed to check the general understanding and writing abilities of a candidate in this subject. A passage or passages will be usually set for summary or precise. This part of syllabus will cover following topics –

5. Indian Evidence Act, 1872
6. Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973
7. Other Laws

• Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961
• The Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989

• Explosive Substances Act, 1908
• The POCSO Act, 2012

Note – the level of papers from point no.4 to 7 will be equal to that of the Law graduation level of Patna University.

Interview Details for BPSC APO Exam 2024

The interview will be of 100 marks. The marks obtained in this stage will be included in the final merit list. A candidate must secure at least 35% marks in the final merit list.
