The Rajasthan CJ Judiciary Notification has been released on 27 February 2025 on the official website of Rajasthan HC. The HC will fill a total no. of 44 posts of Civil Judge Cadre. Rajasthan Judiciary Exam Pattern 2025
The Rajasthan HC conducts the Rajasthan Judiciary Exam in three stages. These are mentioned below –
- Preliminary Exam (Objective Type)
- Mains Exam (Subjective Type) and
- Personal Interview
The Rajasthan Judiciary Prelims Exam is only qualifying in nature. The scores obtained at this stage are not added in the final merit list. Candidates are considered for the subsequent stage only if their preliminary scores are higher than the minimum required scores. These scores are different for each category of candidate. The scores obtained in the mains exam and interview stage are added into the final merit list thus decide the rank of a candidates. Rajasthan HC Judiciary Prelims Exam Pattern 2025
All the details regarding Rajasthan J Prelims Exam have been mentioned below –
- The mode of preliminary exam will be offline mode (OMR Based).
- 70% weightage will be given to the subjects prescribed in syllabus for Law Paper – I and Law Paper – II and 30% weightage shall be given to test proficiency in Hindi and English Language.
- The paper will be of 100 marks.
- There will be 100 no. of questions.
- The paper will be of 2 hours.
- There will be no negative marking.
- Each correct answer will fetch you one mark.
- The language of the question paper will be in English and Hindi.
Note – RJS Syllabus 2025 for preliminary examination will be same as prescribed for Law Paper I and II for Main Examination.

Cutoff scores for Rajasthan CJ Exam
The number of candidates to be admitted to the Main Examination will be fifteen times the total number of vacancies but in the said range all those candidates who secure the same percentage of marks on the last cutoff will be admitted to the Main Examination.
Note – To qualify for Mains Examination, the candidates of SC/ ST, persons with Benchmark Disability and Ex-servicemen category shall have to secure minimum 40% marks in the Preliminary Examination. In case of non – availability of Ex-servicemen, furthermore 5 percent relaxation shall be applied to ex-servicemen candidates. Other category candidates shall have to secure 45% marks in the preliminary examination.
The number of candidates to be admitted to the interview shall be, as far as practicable, three times the total number of vacancies category-wise.
Provided that to qualify for interview, a candidate shall have to secure a minimum of 35% marks in each of the law papers and 40% marks in aggregate in the Main Examination.
Provided further a candidate belonging to SC or ST or PWD and Ex-servicemen category shall be deemed to be eligible for interview, if he has obtained minimum of 30% marks in each of the law papers and 35% marks in the aggregate in the Main Examination.

- The mains exam will be a subjective type of exam.
- This stage will contain two mandatory papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II.

The candidates belonging to reserved categorised must secure minimum 45% mars and all other candidates must secure minimum 50% marks in the Main Written Examination for being eligible to be called for Viva-voce test. Provided that the candidate has secure minimum 40% marks in each paper.
Rajasthan Judiciary Viva-voce 2025
The final merit list will be prepared by adding the marks obtained by a candidate in the mains exam and viva-voce. A candidates shall have to obtain at least 40% marks in the aggregate of written examination and interview.
A candidate of Ex-servicemen category shall not be recommended for appointment unless he obtains minimum 35% marks in the aggregate of written examination and interview and in case of non-availability of ex-servicemen, furthermore 5% relaxation shall be given.
A candidate os SC/ST/PWD shall not be recommended for appointment unless he obtains minimum 35% marks in the aggregate of Written Examination and the Interview.
