About Delhi Special Judicial Magistrate Exam

Online applications are invited for the appointment of Special Judicial Magistrate under Section 11 of the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. The Delhi HC will fill 19 vacancies (18 existing and 01 anticipated). The Delhi Special Judiciary Exam is conducted by the Delhi High Court. Delhi Special JM Eligibility Criteria
A candidate must possess the qualification as prescribed in Rule 3 of Delhi Petty Offences (Trial by Special Judicial Magistrate) Rules, 2024, which reads as under –
- Must be holder of Degree in Law from a recognized university by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and
- Has been a District Magistrate or a Judicial Officer, or
- Has for a period of not less than one year exercised the powers of Sub Divisional Magistrate, or
- Has held for a period of not ess than five years, a Group A post on the establishment of the Hogh Court of Delhi or that of the Courts Subordinate thereto, or
- Has held for a period of not less than five years, a Group A Post under the department of the Government of NCT Delhi or the Central Government of State Government and
- Has not attained the age of 65 years on the date of conferment of power of Special Judicial Magistrate on him/ her.
Explanation – for the purpose of these rules a “law graduate: is a person who us eligible to be enrolled as an advocate.

Delhi Special Judicial Magistrate Salary Details
A Special Judicial Magistrate shall be entitled to the following honorarium and out of pocket expenses or as may be fixed by the Delhi High Court Judicial Service from time to time –
- Out of pocket expenses – Rs. 60,000/- (per month)
- Transport allowance – Rs. 10,000/- (per month)
- Dress allowance – Rs. 12,000/- (per annum)
How to fill Delhi Special Judicial Services Application Form
To apply for the Delhi High Court Judicial Services Exam online, you typically need to follow these steps:
- Visit the official portal @ dhcmisc,nic.in/recmy/sjm25/
- Click on the link named “apply online for Delhi High Court Special Judicial Magistrate”.
- Start filling the details carefully and take a printout of the application form after final submission on the online portal.
- It must be duly signed along with copies of uploaded documents, be forwarded through proper channel to the registrar general, High Court of Delhi, Shershah Road, New Delhi.
- The forwarding authority must also certify that the particulars furnished by the candidates are correct and he. She possesses educational qualifications and experience mentioned in the application form. He/ she has held Group – A post for a continuous period 5 year. The forwarding authority should enclose the up-to-date attested copies of ACR/ APAR of the applicant for the last 5 years.
- All application should be forwarded through proper channel within 30 days from the closing date of the online applications.
- Applications received after due date or which are incomplete, without requisite documents and not received proper channel shall be rejected summarily and no enquiry will be entertained in this regard. Only eligible and shortlisted candidates will be allowed for interview on a date to be intimated later.
- No TA/ DA will be admissible to the candidates to be called for interview. Interaction. The candidates are required to make their own arrangements.
