The Consortium of National Law University (NLUs) has started the CLAT Applicaiton Process. The CLAT Registration Process 2026 will take place from 1 August 2025. Interested candidates can fill up the CLAT Application Form before the last date. The last date to fill for the CLAT 2026 is 31 October 2025. CLAT is a national level examination. The exam is conducted to offer admission to UG and PG Law Courses offered at the participating NLUs, admissions to Private and Self-financed colleges and PSUs recruitment for legal positions. Thousand number of seats have been provided by the NLUs for both UG and PG Program. Interested candidates can check the entire official notification.

Educational qualification – Candidates who have decided to appear in this year’s CLAT Exam must check the CLAT Eligibility Criteria from the official website. If a candidate found to be ineligible by the NLU then he/ she shall be debarred from the exam and the fees will also not be refunded to the candidate. Therefore, it is important to match the eligibility criteria. Here also we have mentioned briefly CLAT Eligibility Criteria –
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent from any recognized board of India with at least 45% marks for general category and 40% for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates. (Candidates appearing in their final examination of 10+2 can also fill the form.)
Age Limit – there is no age bar to appear in the CLAT Exam.
CLAT UG Application Fee
The category wise application fee for the CLAT exam has been provided below –
- For General/ OBC/ PWD/ NRI/ PIO/ OCI – Rs. 4,000/-
- For SC/ ST/ BPL – Rs. 3,500/-

Selection process for CLAT Exam 2025
The NLU will conduct an all-India level examination for those candidates who have successfully applied for their CLAT Form 2026. This will be a one-day exam. The candidates will be selected on the basis their cut off scores. That will be released by the NLU after considering many factors such as total no. of candidates appeared in the exam, difficulty level of the exam, highest marks scored by the candidates etc.

As per the official notification, following documents will be required to fill the CLAT 2026 Application Form –
- Class 10th Marksheet/ Certificate
- Class 12th Marksheet/ Certificate
- Passport size latest photograph
- Signature
- Caste certificate (if applicable)

- Now, click on the “CLAT UG Registration Link”
- Enter all the required details carefully and step wise.
- Click on the declaration box.
- Now, recheck the application form.
- Click on the “Submit” key.
- Download the application and take a printout.
