The Chhattisgarh Judiciary Notification has been released on 25th December 2024 on the official website of CGPSC. The commission will fill a total no. of 57 posts of Civil Judge Cadre. Chhattisgarh Judiciary Exam Pattern 2024-25
Here, let’s know the Chhattisgarh Judiciary Syllabus 2024. The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission conducts the Chhattisgarh Judiciary Exam in three stages. These are mentioned below –
- Preliminary Exam (Objective Type)
- Mains Exam (Subjective Type) and
- Personal Interview
The Chhattisgarh Judiciary Prelims Exam is conducted in bilingual format i.e. both Hindi and English medium. This stage is only qualifying in nature. The scores obtained at this stage are not added in the final merit list. Candidates are considered for the subsequent stage only if their preliminary scores are higher than the minimum required scores. These scores are different for each category of candidate. The scores obtained in the mains exam and interview stage are added into the final merit list thus decide the rank of a candidates. Chhattisgarh Judiciary Prelims Pattern 2024
The authorities have recently amended the CGPSC J Syllabus. The commission shall declare the substantially more qualified candidates from those who took the preliminary examination in a ratio of 1:10, considering the number of vacancies, as eligible to appear in the main examination. The candidates obtaining equal marks as obtained by the last qualified candidates shall also be declared as qualified, though in consequence the number of candidates declared may exceed the parameter of 10 times the number of notified vacancies. The commission will use the same method for the viva-voce in the main test, declaring people qualified based on merit, possibly three times the number of available vacancies.
The final selection will be on merit on the basis of total marks obtained in the written examination and viva-voce. The maximum 15 marks for viva-voce are being fixed. A candidate belonging to reserved category must secure minimum 33% marks in the viva-voce and those belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC shall be required to secure minimum 25% marks in the viva-voce. There shall be a screening test in the preliminary examination to shortlist candidates for main examination. The commission will not issue the mark sheet for the preliminary exam, nor will the scores from this examination be included in the merit list for the main examination. - The mode of preliminary exam will be offline mode.
- The paper will carry a total no. of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
- The exam duration will be of two hours.
- Each correct answer will fetch you one mark.

Chhattisgarh Judiciary Mains Exam Pattern 2024
All the details regarding Chhattisgarh Judiciary Syllabus 2024, Mains Exam have been mentioned below –
- The mains exam will be a subjective type of exam.
- The paper will be for 100 marks.
- Time duration will be of 3 hours.
- These 100 marks are divided into three papers i.e. Framing of Issues & Judgment Writing in Civil Cases, Framing of Charges and Writing of Judgment in Criminal Cases, and Translation.

CGPSC Judiciary Viva-voce 2024
The Commission shall invite a proportion of more qualified applicants from those who took the Mains Examination, in a ratio of 1:3, based on the number of vacancies, for the viva-voce assessment. The viva-voce will be of 15 marks. The authoritative body will compile the final merit list by aggregating the scores attained by a candidate in the mains examination and the viva-voce. Candidates who belong to unreserved category must secure at least 33% marks in the viva-voce and those who belong to the reserved category must secure 25% marks in viva-voce.
Preparation Strategy for Chhattisgarh PCS J 2024
The candidates should have made a proper schedule and planned strategy. As the officials has not yet announced the vacancy notification, that’s why a candidate has enough time to prepare. For the prelims exam the candidate must solve the maximum number of PYQs of all the state judiciary exams. Also, the candidate should join a mock test series. Since the prelims is a game of MCQs solving technique. Thus, the more MCQs a candidate solves the more chances to get through the prelims he will attain.
