The Apex Court stated that the educational system needed to be strengthened and criticized the &#8220;phenomenally high fees&#8221; that the National Law Universities (NLUs) charged for their LLB programs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">A bench made up of Justices P S Narasimha and Atul S Chandurkar was considering a plea from Kuldeep Mishra contesting the fees the Bar Council of India (BCI) charged for enrolling law graduates as attorneys through AIBE.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">For general and OBC candidates, the AIBE application fee is Rs 3,500; for scheduled caste and tribal candidates, it is Rs 2,500.
