Kapil Sibal, a senior advocate, has been elected as the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
Sibal obtained a total of 1066 votes, whereas the following candidate, Senior Advocate Pradeep Rai, received 689 votes. The current President, Senior Advocate Dr. Adish C. Aggarwala, obtained 296 votes (the numbers are approximate).
Other candidates included Priya Hingorani, Tripurari Ray, and Neeraj Srivastava. Sibal will serve as the President of SCBA for the fourth time.

Sibal has been elected as the President of the SCBA on three occasions, with the most recent being twenty-three years ago in 2001. Prior to that, he served as President for the terms of 1995-96 and 1997-98.
